If you aren’t one of the hundreds of thousands of people excited about Arab Hip-Hop and what it’s becoming, this reel from Laith Majali and the Jordan-based Immortal Entertainment crew might just get you to join the movement. Over the past year and a half Immortal Entertainment has been doing a lot of work documenting Arab Hip-Hop culture, both in the Middle East and the diaspora, including four music videos for Omar Offendum, C-Mack from Los Angeles, Arabian Knightz from Egypt and DJ Lethal Skillz in Beirut. Here’s what they had to say about that journey:
“For the beginning of this year we decided to put together a reel that represents our filming style and approach, our experiences, our travels, the shows we’ve put on in Amman and Beirut, and Jay Electronica and Mochilla’s visit to Jordan and Egypt.”
All we’re hoping for is that this becomes an official documentary. Thumbs up if you agree…
